Press & Cultural Affairs

The Press & Culture department of the embassy is responsible for press, information services and cultural projects. Representatives of local and international press can address the department for all kinds of questions about Embassy and Dutch policy matters and current affairs. All requests for background information or for interviews with the Ambassador or Embassy staff should be put to the spokesperson of the Embassy: Mrs. Gonneke de Ridder (tel 021-524.1052). Furthermore, the department is responsible for the various cultural funds of the Embassy.


A wide variety of documentation material about the Netherlands in general and about Dutch policy matters is available for the general public. Booklets, maps and documentation concerning topics as Dutch history and geography, the Government and the Royal Family, Dutch culture, as well as about policy matters and current affairs are freely available upon request.

General information on the Netherlands as well as Dutch magazines and newspapers are also available at the library of the Netherlands cultural centre, Externe link the Erasmushuis.
