Visa-on-Arrival for Dutch Citizens

As of Januari 26, 2010 Visa On Arrival will be issued with a validity period of 30 days. A VOA will cost USD 30,-. The VOA can be extended in Indonesia for a maximum period of 30 days, this can be done at local immigration offices. If you need to stay in Indonesia for a longer period than the sixty days maximum you will need to apply for a visa at the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague or in the country where you reside. The passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months when you arrive in Indonesia. VOA will only be issued at selected airports and seaports in Indonesia. Please refer to the list below.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that despite the VOA-facility for Dutch passport holders, it can never be ruled out that upon arrival the Indonesian immigration service decides not to grant a VOA after all. There is no right of entry. This is the same situation as in the Netherlands.

Journalist, researchers and tourists travelling to Irian Jaya, the Moluccas and/or Aceh are advised to apply for a visa at the Indonesian embassy in The Hague before their departure even after the VOA facility has been granted.
